Grant to Support Bloomfield Borough Park Improvements, Stambaugh Says
NEW BLOOMFIELD – A $342,400 state grant awarded this week to the Borough of Bloomfield will be used to make improvements to its municipal park, according to Rep. Perry Stambaugh (R-Perry/Juniata).
Plans call for a walking trail, parking area and accommodations to make the park handicapped accessible. The grant also will support on-site stormwater management.
“This park near the municipal building will be a fantastic resource for New Bloomfield residents who want to stretch their legs, walk their dogs or simply get fresh air. It is nice to think this area will be preserved and maintained for generations to come,” Stambaugh said.
Funding was awarded through the Department of Conservation & Natural Resources’ Community Conservation Partnerships Program.
