HARRISBURG—Rep. Perry Stambaugh (R-Perry/Juniata) has been appointed to the House Transportation Committee.
“This is a key position given the mountain of deferred highway projects across the 86th
State House District, and the fact that more than 70 percent of residents in Perry and Juniata counties commute outside the district to go to work every day,” Stambaugh said. “My involvement provides our region a voice that can have a significant impact on our transportation system, including roads, bridges, and railways, and also on local economic development projects.”
The House Transportation Committee plays a crucial role in shaping transportation policy in Pennsylvania. Members contribute to the development and implementation of legislation related to highway infrastructure, funding allocations, and other critical issues.
Along with Transportation, Stambaugh also sits on the House Commerce Committee (where he serves as Republican secretary); Environmental Resources and Energy Committee; and Labor and Industry Committee, including the Labor and Industry Employment and Unemployment Compensation Subcommittee.
