Stambaugh to Host Disability and Special Care Expo in Newport

HARRISBURG – Rep. Perry Stambaugh (R-Perry/Juniata) will host a Disability and Special Care Expo to connect residents and caregivers with valuable local, state, and nonprofit resources and services.

The free event will take place Friday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Newport Family Life Center, 27 W. Shortcut Road, Newport.

The expo will feature vendors representing a wide range of government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private providers offering programs, services, and products tailored to individuals living with disabilities and special care needs, as well as their families and caregivers.

“This expo is designed to bring important resources together in one convenient location so individuals and families can learn what support is available to them,” Stambaugh said. “Navigating services can sometimes feel overwhelming, and this event provides an opportunity to speak with experts and discover programs that can improve quality of life.”

Stambaugh encourages residents, caregivers, and family members to attend and take advantage of the information available.
